Join me for a walking tour of the Evans Head heathlands where the native flowers are blossoming. This will be a leisurely stroll along the heathland tracks where we can observe birds, flowers and insects. Bring you camera, binoculars, drawing materials or none of these, as we take time to enjoy this pristine heathland. We'll walk down to the beach for a lunchtime dip and walk back along the coast to our vehicles. I haven't mapped out the exact route yet because I have been away. However, there are plenty of options and we can even decide on the day. Meet at 8.30 am at the BP Service Station at the intersection of Bruxner Highway and the motorway to carpool and head on to Evans Head which is 30 minutes drive away. We aim to commence our walk from Evans Head by 9.15am.
