We will start at Lennox headland and wander along a formed path through the bush to discuss some threatened species translocations, then continue south and off-track near the beach to consider restoration in various stages.
Expert Bob Smineux of Bushland Restoration Services will discuss the background, methods and results for this project undertaken for Ballina Shire Council. Vegetation we will visit includes Littoral Rainforest, freshwater wetlands, Paperbark wetlands and coastal dune vegetation, as well as former cleared paddocks now planted.
