Border Ranges National Park – 2 nights – Friday and Saturday, 10th and 11th Oct
The World Heritage-listed Border Ranges National Park provides a multitude of walking options. Grade 3.
Sheepstation Creek campground in Border Ranges National Park has camping decks and campsites for tents, caravans and motorhomes so take your pick and make your own booking here: https://shorturl.at/hXHwN
I will arrive Friday afternoon & have booked Tent site 4. Numbers for other tent sites near the Communal Area include 3, 22, 23, 24 and 25. Plenty of other sites for Camper/Caravan options too.
It’d be nice if we all brought some fire-making materials for a communal fire. Water & toilets on site – bring a chair.
Saturday:- The morning walk (Booyong Track) starts at 10a.m. sharp to allow for those wishing to do an early morning drive instead of camping Friday night!
A car shuffle will be required so that we will only walk 9-10kms and not 18-20 kms. ☺
After walking Booyong, we shall partake in an afternoon swim in one of the Rain-forest pools less than 1 km from the Camp.
Sunday:- We will undertake several short walks including a definite walk out along The Pinnacle to view Mt Wollumbin. All going well we should finish about 3 p.m. so we can drive back to our homes.
