We meet at 6.45 at the Bruns CWA and decide if we are walking down or up the beach to or from Belongil. We leave Bruns at 7am either way, carpooling as necessary.
Low tide is at 8am so the walk will be on reasonably hard sand with the possibility of following the fire trail behind the fore dunes if the mood takes us. The distance is about 10km, this can be surprisingly hard on the feet and sandshoes are strongly advised.
Please bring the usual sun protection, including a hat, water, a snack and swimmers. These are unpatrolled and rippy beaches so extreme caution is required if swimming and we cannot recommend it.
Having said that, this will be a, lovely morning walk along one of the most beautiful beaches with a chance of coffee and a cafe breakfast at the end. It is recommended for strong walkers who are able to walk reasonable distances at a steady pace.
