Mt Wagawn and Lookouts- Sun 1st November
About this event
Views, rainforests, a cave and picnics. Starting from Numinbah Gap we will walk up the track to Bushrangers Cave then scramble off-track steeply uphill to Mt Wagawn which has great views over the Tweed. We continue on-track through lush rainforest to lookouts in Lamington National Park where you can see all the way to the ocean on a clear day. This will be an all day event with about 6 hours of walking plus time for picnics and, hopefully, gelato back in Murwillumbah!
Bring at least 2L of water, a waterproof jacket and food for the day (morning tea, lunch) . You will need shoes with good grip as there are some steep rocky sections.
Start of walk has limited parking so we will meet in Murwillumbah then carpool from there.
