We meet in the Channon Hotel carpark at 8am. This is the rainforest that was saved from clear-fell logging by hippy protesters in the 1970s. We will hike through the protected rainforest, up Terania Creek to The Crags which provides a lookout point to view the whole Terania Basin. Deeper into the Basin, Beech Creek flows down from one of the 150m cliffs. We will have lunch by an enchanted cascade before returning via a large cave under that cliff. Partly on old logging trails and some of track. Grade 4. Hot day expected so bring swimmers. Leader Steve 0414312917 for more deets.
