Our walk through Goonengerry National Park will take us along the Fairy Glen Trail onto the South Boundary trail until we reach the northern tip of the park where the tall trees are. Then we return via the Lyrebird trail to the Waterfall trail and along Garrong Road to the start. A lovely outing with relatively easy walking with a steady ascent and descent along well established trails with varied scenery and forest. We’ll stop by the first waterfall where the brave can take a dip in the waters and absorb the magnificent view. This would be an especially good walk for newcomers to the club’s activities.
We meet at 9 am. Plan to finish early to mid-afternoon. Will send out an email on Thursday with final details and once the weather forecast is known.
Grade 3. Distance about 8 kms.
