Our walk in Goonengerry National Park will take us around the perimeter of the park where most people don't venture. Starting at the South Boundary trail until we reach the highest point in the park where the tall trees are. Then we return via the Lyrebird trail to the Waterfall trail and along Garrong Road to the start. A lovely outing with relatively easy walking with short ascents and descents along well established trails and dirt tracks with varied scenery and open ecualypt forests. We’ll stop by the first waterfall for lunch where we absorb the magnificent view and the brave can take a dip in the waters. This would be an especially good walk for newcomers to the club’s activities.
We meet at 9 am. Aim to finish early to mid-afternoon. Will send out an email on Thursday with final details and once the weather forecast is known.
About 5 hours of walking including the breaks.
Grade 3. Distance about 9 kms.
