A Four-Day Easter Adventure for Moderately Experienced Hikers
To participate, you must be a club member and have all necessary multi-day hiking gear (some items available for hire from the club).
The Easter four-day weekend is a brilliant opportunity to explore the stunning Gibraltar Range–Washpool Heritage circuit. This multiday walk showcases a diverse range of environments—from lush, ancient rainforests and dramatic granite outcrops to peaceful creeks and open woodlands. The circuit is perfect for hikers with some experience, offering optional side trips for those keen to add a little extra adventure. Expect cool nights above 1000m and warm sunny days, ideal for walking.
We’ll have time in the mornings for practices such as meditation, yoga, or nature journaling—whether writing, drawing, or simply sitting in quiet contemplation. During the day, by group agreement, we’ll spend periods walking in silence, allowing everyone to fully immerse themselves in the natural surroundings.
All campsites along the circuit feature water tanks, toilets, and picnic tables except for Grassy Creek with drinking water in the creek. Swimming is available in creeks and waterfalls, adding to the enjoyment of the walk. The NPWS rates the circuit as a Grade 4Â requiring previous bushwalking experience, with a total circuit distance of 46 km (plus optional side trips).
A list of gear and other requirements needed for the walk will be sent out ahead of time. Campsites for up to eight people have already been booked.
