We hike up Peates Mtn walking path. Just before we reach the summit we go cross-country to Perlite Rd and eventually descend into this amazing geological feature with it's moss and fern covered walls and a view of Wanganui gorge when we reach the other end. We walk along Blue Fig road, past some exciting cascades and spa pools and then into the headwaters of Rocky Creek. Lots of safe rock scrambling as we ascend past a number of cascades and waterfalls. The Green Gully Track is inside the World Heritage-listed Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, NSW. It will be a challenging hike (with Grade 5 Sections) but also a rewarding multi-day experience for adventurous hikers. There is no need to carry a tent as you’ll stay in restored stockman huts along the way. Fitted with the essentials like beds, rainwater, solar-lighting, non-flush toilets and cooking equipment within each hut.  We will stay in 5 huts over the 4-day walk, therefore you will need to allow 6 days away due to the travel time at start & finish. (The walk starts about 55 minutes’ drive out of Walcha) The cost is $250 per person. Start date:- Friday Nov 8th. Leader:- Bob Brockhill. This Sunday, Nov 3, let's visit Lost Valley again. It's a steep 60 minutes to get to the top to see this view. Then there is a deep, cool swimming hole. We then walk through a curtain of vines into a gently rising valley surrounded by 150m cliffs. This is the only forest I know that was never logged. We clamber up to Lyrebird Falls at the head of the valley. Grade 3 Leader Steve 0414312917 I'll send out an email Saturday for meetup details.

Forest Bathing and Movement Walk

This will be a peaceful, curated walk through coastal forest drawing on sensory connection activities guided by David with authentic, nature-inspired movements guided by Sandi. The intertwining of these threads will help to harmonise mind and body with the natural world encouraging a deeper and joyful connection to the earth, air, and trees around us. We start our walk at the northern end of Billinudgel Nature Reserve, a short drive from Brunswick Heads. The walk is accessible with a slight descent to begin and remaining on the flat after that with a total distance of 4.5 km. We walk through ancient pine and paperbark forests to eventually come to the ocean where we can swim, and lunch behind the sand dunes. Grade 3. Meet at 8.30 am in Brunswick Heads for those who wish to carpool (limited car parking) and start the walk at 9 am. Expect to finish at lunchtime. We have another exciting social evening with presentations by David Roland and companions who recently walked the four-day Scenic Rim Trail, Main Range NP in Queensland, Bob Brockhill and Irene's recent adventures in the Northern Territory and Steve Millard's sensational tour of indigienous artworks in the Kimberley. We will have a short AGM. Bring any camping and hiking equipment that you wish to sell or swap or give away. Bring snacks/plate to share and what you'd like to drink. Time for chatting. Expect the presentations to start at 7 pm. Grade 0. Non-members very welcome. Location 2/59 Centennial Crt, Byron Bay.

We hike down a fire trail to Nandaly Falls with stunning views over Upper Wilsons Creek to Blackbutt Plateau and around to Wanganui Gorge. Further on we have some smaller trails to more waterfalls and lookouts with the opportunity to cool off in the pool shown in the photo above. Long sleeves and long pants recomended. "Minyon Falls walking track offers the opportunity to experience a range of forests, pristine creeks and a spectacular waterfall in Nightcap National Park. Winding through Nightcap escarpment, in northern NSW, this beautiful track will challenge and delight bushwalking fans in equal measure. Leading through dense rainforest, be sure to lookout for the spectacular stand of old-growth brushbox trees on the western side of Repentance Creek. Stop for a tranquil picnic lunch along the fern-lined creeks." Bring a snack and lunch and a rain jacket as some showers are predicted. Grade 3, expect about 4 hours walking time. Views, rainforests, a cave and picnics. We will walk up the track to Bushrangers Cave then scramble off-track up to Mt Wagawn for morning tea with views over the Tweed. Then on-track through lush rainforest to lookouts in Lamington National park where you can see all the way to the ocean on a clear day.  There is lots of steep uphill there and downhill back. This will be an all day event with about 6 hours of walking plus time for picnics. Bring at least 2L of water, a waterproof jacket and food for the day (morning tea, lunch) . The Bibbulmun Track is one of the world's great long distance walk trails, from the historic town of Albany on the south coast stretching 1000km to Kalamunda, a suburb in the hills on the outskirts of Perth, It passes through the heart of the scenic south west of Western Australia. The Track takes walkers through towering karri and tingle forests, down mist-shrouded valleys, over giant granite boulders and along breathtaking coastal heathlands. It passes through many of the most beautiful national parks of the south west forests and coastline. The Bibbulmun Track offers a wide range of experiences, from a gentle stroll to enjoy the peace and beauty of the natural environment, to an epic eight week adventure. Wardell Bike Ride through the countryside

Join us for a bike ride from West Ballina starting at the Burns Point Ferry going along Plimico Road and Hermans Lane and Riverbank Road to the Wardell Pie shop! We return via River Drive on the other side of Richmond River and take the ferry back to our starting point. Bike's are allowed to travel free. The ride is on flat ground all the way with good roads and very little traffic, taking us through picturesque countryside. The distance is close to 35 kms and will take us 2 - 3 hours of riding time with a few rest stops along the way. We will stop at the Wardell Pie shop and cafe for an early morning treat, tea or coffee, where we can sit by the river. Any type of bicycle is suitable for this ride.
